The SCOTTISH MAID had a large sail area and sleek lines. She was one of the fastest sailing ships of her time. She was built 1839 by Alexander Hall & Sons in Aberdeen, Scotland, and was one of the first ships with the so-called Aberdeen bow.

The model's sails are set as running on port tack. Scale 1 : 50, length 63 cm, width 18 cm, height 47 cm

The SCOTTISH MAID is the first ship model I have built. In 1996 it took me 163 hours to make it. This model is not for sale.
