The Vorupør pram of 1895

This boat type was used along the Danish North Sea coast from Hirtshals to Agger. It was built in Vorupør of spruce wood and used for fishing with hook and line. On the upper end of the stern an additional plank is fastened to prevent waves breaking over the stern when the boat is pushed on the beach.

A description and plans of the pram are given in the book by Christian Nielsen, "Wooden Boat Designs, Classic Danish Boats measured and described", Stanford Maritime, London 1980, ISBN 054007396-2.
