The French frigate was described by Frederik Henrik af Chapman in his famous "Architectura Navalis Mercatoria", Plate XXXI and XXXII (published in Stockholm in 1768) as an excellent fast sailing ship, suitable for hunting and capturing other vessels.
The model is a beautiful and elegant piece of work, built according to the drawings of Chapman. It emphasizes the rigging and the handling of the sails. The model is 1 : 80 scale. Length is 80 cm, width 38 cm, height 74 cm.
This model has already been sold. The pictures and the data are shown in the gallery of the ship models sold only to let enthusiasts and model makers enjoy the photos and maybe get ideas or some guidance, if someone builds such a model by himself.
