The history of the brig Favori
The Favori was launched in Antwerp in 1806. She was one of twenty brigs that were designed by the shipbuilder Pestel. Of one of her sister ships, the Le Cygne, there is a contemporary 1 : 36 scale model in the Musée de la Marine in Paris.
The armament of Favori were 14 carronades of 24 pounds and two long range guns of 8 pounds. She had only a short career in the French Navy and was taken from the list in 1809.
