The wheel steamer NAUTILUS was built in 1870 for the Imperial German
Navy. In the book of Wittmer, "Deutschlands Taten zur See", Verlag
Hermann Montanus, Siegen 1915, the page 68 shows a photo of the NAUTILUS
commenting: Old gunboat "Nautilus", 716 (metric) tons, 99 heads, 9 knots
(see below, photo middle part, left).
Please take your time to have a good look at the set of photos. There
are
several views of the entire ship model taken from all directions and
several
closer views of hull, deck and rigging. If you click on a photo you

The beautiful, finely worked, elegant model of the wheel steamer is made
of wood and metal. It is 1 : 60 scale. Length is 113 cm, width 30 cm,
height 72 cm.
This model has been already sold. The pictures and the data are shown in
the
gallery of the ship models sold only to let enthusiasts and model
makers enjoy the photos and maybe get ideas or some guidance, if someone
builds such a model by himself.
