 Ship model frigate FRIEDRICH WILHELM ZU PFERDE


The frigate FRIEDRICH WILHELM ZU PFERDE  belonged to the Brandenburg fleet of the Grosse Kurfuerst Frederick William in the years 1685 - 1693. The ship had typical Dutch construction features. As two-decker she carried 54 cannons and had a crew of 200. The overall length over all was 37 m. 
In 1693, when the returning from a journey to the Caribbean Sea, she was captured and burned near the Gibraltar Straight by three French ships.


The ship model is very diligently built. Length is 93 cm, width 38 cm, height 91 cm. Please take your time to have a good look at the set of photos. There are nine pictures of the model.
