Ship model French frigate LA SIRČNEThe French frigate LA SIRČNE is famous because of being described in Frederik Henrik af Chapman's "Architectura Navalis Mercatoria", Plate LV, No. 9 (published in Stockholm in 1768) as an excellent fast sailing ship. Please take your time to have a good look at the set of photos of the frigate model. There are several views of the entire ship model taken from all directions, several closer views of hull and deck and of the rigging. In addition there is a suitable display case for LA SIRENE. The display case has inside two small lights, which may give some additional light in a weakly lit up corner bar or a restaurant. If you click on a photo you will get that photo in high resolution. Only these high resolution photographs show how much work and handicraft ability were put in the model. (If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, press F11 to minimize navigation bars and have a larger screen with the photos.) The beautiful and elegant model of the LA SIRČNE is 1 : 75 scale. Length is 82 cm, width 30 cm, height 77 cm. The display case length is 91 cm, width 37 cm, height 84 cm. This model has been already sold. The pictures and the data are shown in the gallery of the ship models sold only to let enthusiasts and model makers enjoy the photos and maybe get ideas or some guidance, if someone builds such a model by himself. |
