The French frigate was described by Frederik Henrik af Chapman in his famous "Architectura Navalis Mercatoria", Plate XXXI and XXXII (published in Stockholm in 1768, see my literature list) as an excellent fast sailing ship, suitable for hunting and capturing other vessels.

The model is a beautiful and elegant piece of work, built according to the drawings of Chapman. It emphasizes the rigging and the handling of the sails. The model is 1 : 80 scale. Length is 80 cm, width 38 cm, height 74 cm.

Please take your time to have a good look at the set of photos. There are several views of the entire ship model taken from all directions and several closer views of hull, deck and rigging.
